Jason Lloyd is a seasoned communicator, journalist, writer, columnist, speech-writer and spokesperson. He was a business journalist and then a political journalist and reported on South Africa’n third democratic elections in 2004. In 2010 he worked as content editor and columnist of Krit, the newspaper of the KKNK festival in Oudtshoorn. Previously he worked as spokesperson, speech-writer and parliamentary liaison officer for the ministers of finance, social development and then public works in the Eastern Cape. Jason lives in Uitenhage and King William’s Town and works as a freelance journalist, writer and columnist. He is communications manager at the Department of Roads and Public Works in the Eastern Cape.
He serves on the management board of the Afrikaanse Skrywersverening (ASV) and some of his short stories have been published on LitNet and in the anthology Palawer van die Woord.
