Born in 1985, September 19, at Kwa Ceza, Siyabonga Celumusa Khumalo, who has been stage named Abstract, grew up in Esikhawini near Empangeni.
He spent his adolescent life at a boarding school in Durban, Umlazi Comprehensive Technical High School (Comtech).
He started writing in 2004, which was his first year in tertiary at the Durban University of Technology (DUT), where he studied Electronics Engineering. He is a member of a hip hop and poetry group, Natural Enemiez. He has performed at underground hip hop sessions, poetry sessions, church functions as well as cyphers. Apart from poetry, Abstract has written essays and short stories.
