VAKATURE: LEKTOR IN AKADEMIESE GELETTERDHEID Noordwes-Universiteit (Potchefstroomkampus) Fakulteit Lettere en Wysbegeerte Skool vir Tale
(Totale vergoedingspakket: R266 484 – R355 312 p.j. – werkgewerbydrae ten opsigte van byvoordele hierby ingesluit) Minimum vereistes:
- MA-graad in Afrikaans of Afrikaans en Nederlands of in Toegepaste Taalkunde
- Ongeveer drie jaar ervaring in die onderrig van Akademiese Geletterdheid of ’n taal op tersiêre vlak
- Rekenaarvaardigheid in MS Office (Word, Excel en PowerPoint), asook e-pos en internet
- Goeie kommunikasievaardighede (verbaal en skriftelik), sowel as die vermoë om onderrig in Afrikaans en Engels te gee
- Die vermoë om effektief in spanverband te funksioneer
- Goeie organisatoriese en administratiewe vaardighede
- Die vermoë om effektief onder druk en in ’n multikulturele omgewing te funksioneer
- Goeie menseverhoudinge en ’n kliëntediensingesteldheid
Ervaring in die onderrig van Akademiese Geletterdheid of ’n taal op tersiêre vlak deur middel van Afrikaans sal as ’n sterk aanbeveling dien. ’n Bewese vermoë in navorsing oor taalonderrig is ’n sterk aanbeveling omdat die bekleër van hierdie pos ’n navorsingsingesteldheid moet hê met die oog op inskakeling by die navorsing wat in hierdie sentrum en in die navorsingseenheid Tale en literatuur in die SA konteks gedoen word. - MA degree in Afrikaans or Afrikaans and Dutch or in Applied Linguistics
- Approximately three years’ experience in teaching Academic Literacy or a language at tertiary level
- Computer literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), as well as email and internet
- Good communication skills (verbal and written), as well as the ability to teach in Afrikaans and English
- The ability to function effectively as part of a team
- Good organisational and administrative skills
- The ability to function effectively under pressure and in a multicultural environment
- Good interpersonal relations and a client-service orientation
Experience in teaching Academic Literacy or a language at tertiary level through the medium of Afrikaans will serve as a strong recommendation. A proven ability in research on language instruction will serve as a strong recommendation, as the incumbent must have a research orientation with view to engaging in research that is conducted in this centre and in the research unit Languages and literature in the SA context.
